Checklist to Help You and Your New Partner Live in Wedded Bliss
So, the wedding is over. As a newly married couple, you are ready to move in with each other and start your life together. But, wait, what about all the stuff you collected while you were single? To help make sure your transition from single to married goes smoothly, we have a created a checklist to make moving in together less stressful!
- Get organized early. Don’t wait until the day after wedding. Instead, start planning at least 4 to 6 weeks before you move in together.
- Take inventory of your possessions. Both you and your spouse should take an inventory of your furniture, kitchenware, books, electronics, artwork, etc.
- Start clearing out the clutter. Determine what you need and what you don’t! Review your inventory, and talk with your spouse on items that you can sell, donate, throw away, and put into storage.
- Schedule your move. Contact a Storage Village representative for all your moving and storage needs. We can help you with truck rentals, storage facilities and your packing supplies.
